What Is the Covenant Homeownership Program?
The Covenant Homeownership Program is a statewide initiative from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. Its purpose is to help repair generations of housing inequity by supporting qualified first-time buyers in achieving their dream of homeownership.
This program offers significant financial support for those who meet the eligibility criteria, helping more Washington residents buy homes and start building generational wealth.
Who Qualifies for the Program?
You may qualify if you meet all of the following:
✅ You’re a Washington State resident
✅ Your family lived in Washington before April 1968
✅ You identify as Black, Hispanic, Indigenous, Pacific Islander, Korean, or Asian Indian heritage
✅ Your income is at or below your county’s median income
✅ You’re a first-time homebuyer (or haven’t owned a home in the last three years)
